The Impromptu Piano Quartet, formed in 2006, offers performances and/or master classes on any of four instruments. All of the members — Stephen Red eld, violin; Hsiaopei Lee, viola; Alexander Russakovsky, cello; Theresa Sanchez, piano — hold doctorate degrees in Musical Arts, with a combined many years of teaching experience. Their concerts are best enjoyed in chamber music venues, and their repertoire is from the classical, romantic, and 20th-century periods, and include composers such as Mozart, Beethoven, Schubert, Schumann, Brahms, Dvorak, Faure, Mahler, Bridge and Turina. Their chamber music com- bination is less common than the string quartet or piano trio, but major composers have contributed a beautiful and impressive repertoire. They are constantly expanding and ex- ploring new music. Their technical requirements include a tuned grand piano and three music stands, and their fee structure is negotiable. They promote themselves through col- leges and universities, and community-based concert series.
