A MAC Roster/Teaching Artist and Mississippi Humanities Speaker, Richelle’s awards include Writers Digest, World Wide Writers, Writers Journal, New Millennium Writings, Song of the Year, Songwars, Billboard and American Songwriter Magazine. Her diplomas and certificates in writing include Open College for the Arts, Gotham Writers, the University of Iowa and the Institute of Children’s Literature, and publishing credits include Pif Magazine, The Copper field Review, Birmingham Arts Journal, Mississippi Magazine, eat. drink. MISSISSIPPI, Social South, Common Ties and the bestselling series: “A Cup of Comfort for Mothers and Daughters,” “A Cup of Comfort for Christmas Prayer” and “A Cup of Comfort Twelve Days of Christmas,” and wrote the book “Lauderdale County, Mississippi: a Brief History” (The History Press in 2011). She coauthored “Legendary Locals of Meridian, Mississippi” (Arcadia Publishing). “The Inspiring Life of Eudora Welty” (The History Press) won the Silver Medal in the 2014 Moonbeam Children’s Book Award.
