MAC to host series of grant writing workshops for mississippi artists and arts organizations

Jackson -The Mississippi Arts Commission (MAC) will host a series of free grant writing workshops around the state, targeting Mississippi-based artists and arts organizations.  The schedule is as follows:

 

Thursday, December 9th – Macon Welcome Center, Macon, MS – 6:00pm

Monday, December 13th – MS Gulf Coast Community College – Perkinston Campus, Malone Hall Black Box Theatre – 6:00pm

Tuesday, January 18th – Mississippi Craft Center, Ridgeland, MS – 6:00pm

At each workshop, MAC staff will present an overview of the agency’s grant programs and other services. This will be followed by an in-depth discussion on how to prepare an application for the agency’s upcoming annual grant deadline on March 1st.  First-time applicants are especially encouraged to attend.

The workshops are free and open to the public. For more information, contact MAC at (601) 359-6030.   Registration is not required.

The Mississippi Arts Commission is a state agency, funded by the Mississippi Legislature, the National Endowment for the Arts, the Riley Foundation, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Mississippi Foundation, the Mississippi Endowment for the Arts at the Community Foundation of Greater Jackson and other private sources.  MAC is the official grants-making and service agency for the arts in Mississippi. The agency serves as an active supporter and promoter of arts in community life and in arts education.
