Mississippi Arts Commission: Who We Are

Alesha Nelson 

Alesha is the Fiscal Officer for the Mississippi Arts Commission. She has been an employee of the Arts Commission for approximately four years. Responsibilities of her position include; processing Purchase Orders, Payment Vouchers, Cash Receipts, Travel Vouchers, Property Reports, Payroll, and the disbursement of all budgetary funds. She prepares monthly Financial Statement and reviews policies and procedures to ensure Arts Commission is in compliance with all state and federal regulatory requirements. She is responsible for the actual portion of the Legislative Budget Request Report and the GAAP-Generally Accepted Accounting Principles Report.
