Mississippi Arts Commission: Who We Are

Peggy Sprabery

Peggy Sprabery attended Mississippi University for Women, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education, and Mississippi College, where she earned a Masters in Education.  She taught for 4 years in the Jackson Public School System and 4 years in the Long Beach Public School System.

Peggy has been active in her community where she has served as President and Vice-President of the Coast Medical Alliance and twice as Vice-President of the Mississippi State Medical Alliance.  She has also served as President of the Gulf Coast Symphony Board of Directors as well as President of the Gulf Coast Symphony Guild.  She serves on the Ohr-O'Keefe Museum of Art Board of Trustees, Police Athletic League,  DuPont Delisle Community Advisory Board of Directors, the Humane Society Honorary Council, and is active with the American Heart Association.  Peggy is married to Dr. Donald Sprabery, a retired anesthesiologist.  They reside in Pass Christian, MS and have one daughter, Genevieve Anne.
